With the newest efforts by Disqus to clean up cesspols I thought it might be time to be annoying again by revitalizing this blog.

Are you fucking kidding me?????

This thread was put up https://disqus.com/home/channel/channelchat/discussion/channel-channelchat/help_wanted_mod_bashing_channel/ and I made a comment that was deleted.
My comment in no way was controversial or violated ToS/Disqus policies.

Help Wanted: Mod Bashing Channel

I always encourage anyone who wants to join me on the dark side. Doesn't usually end well for them, but at least I have friends with a common interest around me.

Seriously?!?!? Just WTF!
Apparently my blog post made earlier was premature.

I have not been on here for a couple of months because I have to chose my "stress triggers" carefully.

Since Dec. 2015 there has been an unpleasant ebb and flow on Disqus. I know this has been happening longer than that, but this is when I became aware of it and I am not going to speak about problems other people have had.  The attacks, counter attacks and pre-emptive attacks never seem to stop they just escalate and de-escalate in a passive aggressive manner.
I honestly don't understand why Disqus has no interest in finding a solution. I know there is conversations about it being part of the social data collection by the company, but if that is it then it is a f*cked way to collect data.
The people on Disqus are real people with real lives, real emotions and real problems. Using them as guinea pigs w/o their knowledge in IMO unethical and immoral.
Having said that, I do not understand the people who believe this is what is happening and continue to play into it.
When is it time to let go and move on? There are some who we know are never going to give up on the attacks as they have demonstrated repeatedly, but why are so many continuing to give those few the power to instigate?
To me the bottom line is that Disqus has no interest in resolving arguments, attacks and controversy and we have to decide for ourselves how we want to deal with these situations.

Once again Disqus claim that they have no control over channel content is proven false.
Disqus Resistance was added to the casualty list and Spy was suspended, which effectively stops any new threads from being created.
The reason given for the suspension was that threads violated policy, but the threads in question were no different than threads created by Coccyx on her satire channel. (not using the name of her channel because I refuse to give her advertising for it)
Disqus continues to pick and chose which policies they honor and which policies they ignore with this suspension. This constant wishy washy business management is becoming worse each day with the vague policies allowing employees to decide what policies mean based on their personal opinion. Then to top it off these employees make many decisions based on their friendship with community members who are bitching about other community members.
Either Disqus is unaware of the employees bad management or Disqus does not care about the employees bad management, but no matter how you look at it this is a f*cked way to run a business.

Another Disqus channel is under attack from Disqus. The Great Outdoorsman run by BulgingSnake has been warned about content even though Disqus claims they have no control over channel content. Recently BulgingSnake noticed his channel had been removed from the trending list and asked about this. Here is what he put up on his channel  "The e-mail simply stated and I quote ''Just be glad we didn't delete your profile or your channel''. So I have a feeling the final deletion is about to happen, as in me."
Disqus constantly makes one claim about their service and then their actions prove these claims are false.
Way to run a business Disqus!
Disqus needs to clarify ToS and policy once and for all so that employees are not allowed to make decisions based on personal opinions of themselves or others. With this clarification there should also be information on discipline actions that might be taken for violations so that community members know if they are being targeted unfairly by Disqus employees and if Disqus employees are allowing other community members to violate ToS and/or policy.

Recently Freedom was suspended and many of his threads were removed. Disqus has a double standard with channels such as his. I have seen channels on the opposite side of the issues post similar threads and yet they have not been removed and the channel owner has not been sanctioned. Disqus says that it is a private company so freedom of speech and freedom of expression does not apply. I disagree with most of what he posts, however Disqus is a public social comment forum and as such there should be equality on censorship or there should be no censorship.

There have been a few people who have asked why I am so angry about the last few months on Disqus and it is simple, Disqus became my saving grace over the last 3 years. It was someplace I felt safe going to share a laugh, conversation or even occasional arguments. The pets took that away from me with their harassment and Saeed allowed them to do so and that makes me angry.
A little over 3 years ago a younger brother and my dad were both diagnosed with cancer relatively close together. In RL it was overwhelming much of the time to have both of them going through treatment so I would come on Disqus to escape for a short time. My brother died a little over 2 years ago and my dad died a couple of months before the melt down on Disqus. I was in no emotional condition to deal with constant attacks. Perhaps I should have stayed off of Disqus, but there were people who I consider friends that made my day better and I did not want to lose that support even if it was only internet support.
When I started having problems on MW I sent Saeed an email telling him what I was going through as well as the doctor was concerned about my heart condition and there was a discussion about surgery. He promised that he was trying to solve the problem on MW and asked if I would agree to the cool down. I was an idiot for believing him as that did not happen. Instead he ignored what was going on only making the situation much worse.
It reached a point where I deleted my account and made a new one hoping that would stop the harassment, but it did not. As soon as it became known that I had returned the harassment started again.
No one should have to go through this type of harassment for any reason. The fact that Saeed knew about my personal situation yet he did nothing about the harassment is inexcusable in my opinion.
This has become a problem that Disqus is well aware of and yet Disqus continues to ignore it. Fortunately I have RL support so I was able to work through it. What happens if this is done to someone who does not have that support?
There are some who feel that these interactions can be avoided simply by not longer accessing the internet. Why should anyone have to avoid cyber bullies instead of cyber bullies being the ones who are dealt with?
Not everyone may agree with my decision to return and make my voice heard as they see this as a minuscule part of the internet, but it makes me angry that a company/business does not recognize their part it allowing this behavior to continue when their business is creating a community platform.
IMO Disqus has a responsibility to stop this behavior instead of ignoring it.
